4th June 2013

Today the roof batons were put up and now the roof frame is complete. All the windows and door frames apart from our master bedroom window have all been put in also.

We caught up with Peter, our SS this morning to check the height of the master bedroom window and it ended up being 1920mm from top of frame to floor, which is incorrect. He had no issue whatsoever about fixing this for us. It looks as though the height will be lifted tomorrow as they will need to adjust some of the framework. It won't be lifted to exactly where it should be as per our plans, which is 2245. It will end up being shy by about 450mm, which we can live with. He said he could lift it to what the plans say, but it would mean having to raise the bulkhead and the window and it would mean more work for them, but we agreed to keep it at 450mm below. So problem solved thank goodness!

Tomorrow, the plumbing rough in will be done. Fascias and guttering are still planned to be put up on Thursday and Friday the roof will start. If things keep going this fast, we will be in before we know it, which is brilliant.
