Hi Renai, thanks for your blog especially the upgrade and timeline page, wow impressive. I am keen on the MJH Santorini but concerned about the final cost on top of the baseline. Is the kitchen the only place you got the upgrades. Are you able to give an approximate or percentage you paid on top of the baseline amount. Also hope you have some luck finding a job, maybe put what you do on your blog and maybe someone might know some. Thanks in advance. Lani
* Bag + paint to the facade - $1,490 * Caoba garage door - $675 * Stained finish front door - $475 * Trilock Angular Satin Chrome front door handle - $240 * Dead lock for laundry door + garage door - $150 ea * Stainless steel shower hob (both bathroom + ensuite) - $250 ea * Ensuite vanity - 3 x equal height drawers in the middle - $250 * Amelia internal door handles / privacy locks - $470 * 40mm thick kitchen benchtops - $1680 * Wall cupboards in kitchen upgraded to silk finish - $500
So only a couple. We could have gone crazy with upgrades but just couldnt afford it. MJH do charge a fair bit extra for their upgrades. We decided we would do some upgrades ourself to try and save some money. And thanks for your kind wishes. Good luck :)
Thanks Renai, when I went to MJH last weekend I was given the impression that I needed to add 80thou onto my baseline, 40 for site costs and 40 for finishes. This is a bit more hopeful. I'm sure I can do upgrades myself when needed. Thanks again.
